The dial of the MIL-W-3818B was designed to display unobtrusive and unambiguous information. The clean 12 hours numerals are complemented by an additional row of numerals showing military time (13 to 24).

The diameter has been increased by 8% to reach 39.0mm, compared to the 36.0mm of the original design; and the movement has been upgraded from hand-wound only and hack feature requirement, to bidirectional self-winding.
